There was to be a Young & Hungry TV Movie, based off of the tv show. It was confirmed by TVLine on March 15, 2018 that there would be a movie-spin-off to end the show, officially.[1] It Emily Osment said she was "in talks" for a movie and to conclude the storyline.[2]
On August 24, 2018, series star Emily Osment revealed that Freeform decided not to go through with the movie.[3]
